This event, originally named after our first sponsors (Roman Motors), started life as a 9 mile road race in 1968 although only much later did it become an annual race. During the 1980s and 1990s it established itself as a very popular event on the road racing calendar during what is traditionally a quiet time for races.

In 2004 it was necessary to change our host venue and we were pleased to be able to use the facilities at FISSC, Knights Lane, Tiddington, Stratford upon Avon (the Sports and Social Club of the NFU Mutual Insurance Society Ltd). Although the route remains predominantly the same the change to the Start and Finish meant a re-measuring of the course. This is why the distance is a slightly unusual 12k (ideal for PBs!) and also explains the new name of the race.

Due to limited parking facilities, and for safety considerations on the course, there is a race limit of 800 with no entries on the day. The success of the race is such that the entry limit has been reached in each of the past 5 years and you are advised to enter early to secure your place.

This event takes place on:

Sunday, 18 January, 2015 - 11:00 to 13:00
