Fairwater RoadRunners was officially formed in September 1983. As interest in running grew, a need for “fun” clubs to support those who fancied “jogging and running” was identified. So Fairwater RoadRunners was formed but as time has gone by the name was revised to Fairwater Runners as other disciplines like track, x-country, triathlons and fell running were included. In more recent years Fairwater Runners Cwmbran has become the official club name.
Although it started as a “fun” club many members have gone on to gain County and National recognition on Road, Cross Country and Fell.
Fairwater Runners Cwmbran prides itself in having fun while running and welcomes men and women of various abilities and ages.
As a member of Fairwater Runners Cwmbran you will benefit from the support of a coaching team who set out a training schedule one month in advance and offer a varied program of training opportunities.
